Fall Quarter Baptism Recap

This Sunday was extra special—we had the got to celebrate the baptisms of five students!

You might be wondering, “What exactly is baptism?”

Simply put, baptism is a way of publicly showing that you’ve chosen to follow Jesus. It’s a beautiful symbol of the change that has already taken place in someone’s heart:

  • Saying “yes” to Jesus as Lord and Savior.

  • Sharing in His death and resurrection—going under the water represents leaving the old life behind, and coming up again symbolizes a fresh start with Christ.

  • Being washed clean from sin through the forgiveness Jesus offers on the cross.

During the service, we got  to hear Linda and Terry share their stories of how they came to know Jesus. They opened up about life before Christ and how encountering the gospel transformed everything for them. If you weren’t there, be sure to ask them about their story next time you see them!

Baptism Sundays are always filled with joy and celebration. Seeing God at work in these students’ lives reminds us of His heart for His people and the incredible joy that comes when people come to know Him personally.
